Tips to Remember
The curtain is composed of two panels of gauze cloth, each separately surrounded, on the side and bottom edges and joined at the top of a channel for a curtain rod or bar.
One panel is placed in front of the other.
We chose two fabrics of the same design in different colors.
Remember that once before a window on the rear panel is displayed through the front: the choice of designs, keep the two in light to make sure they work together.
In doing so, also keep in mind that while the front of the front panel, obviously, face out into the room, the front of the rear panel faces to the window.
Measuring your voile panel
Step 1)
Measure the width of your windowsill and fall curtain rod to the ground.
Step 2)
Using the illustration as a guide [address], cut a rectangle in its backbone the first of these measures, more than 5 cm in total along the width of the side seams and 50 cm in total along the hems fall above and below. This includes about 30 cm for the curtains to 'pool' on the ground. Cut another panel with the same size on your main fabric of a second.
Make your panel voile
Step 3)
Turn under 5mm and then sew a hem of 2 cm along both side edges of each panel. Repeat along the bottom of each panel and press all the seams.
Step 4)
Wrong sides facing, place on the rear panel at the top of the facade, matching both edges along the top. Panels, together Tack 1cm raw edges along the width of the panels, continuing 20 cm below each side edge.
Step 5)
To make a channel for the curtain rod, fold the raw edge by 1 inch and press, and then again by 15cm and the press (see illustration). Pin in place and high point of the entire width of the curtain to close the folded edge. Remove tack and pins, curtain pole and wire to hang.
The end result
… And voila! Transform a simple window with a focal point with its style and voile panel new creation.
