How do I clean fabric cream vertical blinds please?

I rent the rug doctor with the upholstery attachments. I use the rug doctor brand upholstery soap and add ammonia. I set up my ironing board and cover it with several layers of old towels. Then I take each fabric vertical blind off one at a time, place it on the covered ironing board then clean it and hang it back up. I clean both sides. It’s time consuming (I have 172 panels to clean) but works well and doesn’t cost what a dry cleaner charges.
