How can I buy large amounts of fleece fabric at whole sale prices?

I am having a outdoor, late fall wedding, and I would like to provide each of my guests a fleece, (or equally soft and warm) blanket on their seat for the ceramony. Instead of bying the blankets, I was hopping to save some $$ by buying fabric, and simply cuting it into blaket sized pieces. I will need about 300 yards though. Any idea of how I can buy wholesale fabric? Also, any suggestions about a material that is as warm and soft as fleece, but cheeper would also be welcomed!

Many retailers would give you significant discounts for that purchase. However, have you ever handled and cut 300 yards of fleece? It’s a significant undertaking. If part of the fleece is pulled as you’re trying to cut it, you’re going to get wavy edges and you’ll have to recut — that will be true for any fabric. At minimum, you’re going to need a cutting area full width x about 1.5x full length, and a method of handling some fairly hefty rolls of fabric.
