Is there a difference between and microfiber microsuede? Or is it a fabric with 2 different names?

I just purchased a sofa whose label says it's microsuede, and that is to replace a sofa whose label says it is microfiber. I know how to clean dog slobber off a microfiber sofa, but I want to be absolutely sure I can use the same methods for microsuede. I've been looking for a difference, but I still see the two terms are used interchangeably.

My sofa is microsuede and always use a damp cloth to clean all marks to leave my children. Drinks spilled, sticky fingers, etc. The only time there was a spot I could not get off, I used a cheap generic brand of clothing and spray stain remover that actually worked without damaging the couch. That worked and Woolite not so it's a good trick to take his sleeve.
