Fabric Of My Life Cotton

fabric of my life cotton
What should I make with cotton fleece?

I bought this fabric bc I knew my mom would love it and I want to make her something but the fabric is cotton fleece and she lives in Texas. I’m afraid if I make her clothing she will only get to wear it a few times a year. Any ideas of what to make that aren’t clothes related?

I live in SE Texas, and although did not make these, I bought a set of 2 covers for my pickup truck across the chest seat-belt harnesses.

The seat-belt straps chafe on my neck, or the passenger’s, and these covers are about 8 inches long, and wrap around the belt, and are secured where they overlap with some Velcro which was sewn on. They are really nothing more than a rectangle of fleece about 8 inches by about 5 or 6 inches with Velcro sewn on two opposite edges [on opposite sides] so that when they are wrapped around the seat-belt strap, the overlapping Velcro seals them around the strap.

They are made of cotton “fleece,” and due to the Velcro can be removed for washing in the clothes washer with my other cottons.

Another project that helps in our cold and hot Texas weather are fleece seat cushions. They keep your butt warm in winter, and cooler in summer. Basically all you have to do to make them is to cut them to about the dimensions of the auto seat, and selvage the edges. They are great for comfort, and being washable, are easy to take care of.
