Where can i find wide, colored, elastic bands to sew, like the ones in Herve Leger dresses?

i make my own clothe and ive been looking for thick elastic bands in colors for years, even before the revival of the herve leger bandage dress collections, but all i can find are thin elastic bands only in black or white for little waist bands or straps of some kind. Does anyone know where i can find some wide elastic bands for sewing, preferably in colors/prints, but im even willing to dye it if i could get some good white or grey ones in like 4 to 6 inch widths. Preferably to order online but if u know of any good fabric/trimming stores that may have it in the NYC area id definitely be willing to heck it out. Your suggestions are appreciated, thanx – eLLe

They appear to be simply cross-width strips of rayon-lycra knit. Find the yardage and cut them yourself.
