Do you guys know of any inexpensive (good quality hopefully) fabric stores in NYC?

INCLUDE WHERE, PRICE RANGE, QUALITY, WEBSITE IF AVAILABLE.

all the fabric stores you wanted used to be on lower broadway around canal until a few years ago, unfortuntaely nearly all of them on the list disappeared. one of the best was P&S and they closed last year heralding the end of an era…..

i think there are 1-2 fabric vendors left down there, but hidden somewhere. definately 1 i can think of that’s on broadway between canal and walker st. that’s Jariel Fabrics. they are inexpensive.

btw, most fabric stores won’t have a website. just bring cash.

one store which i also recommend is zarin on the corner of grand and allen st. they are on the 2nd floor, it’s gigantic, double, or triple the amount of fabric inventory then other people. here’s their website.

if you want really high end quality fabric and are willing to pay a price, then you want to browse the fabric stores in midtown. i forgot the name of a very famous one that many broadway production companies use. but you probably you don’t want that store anyway.

also here is a list of most fabric stores in nyc, the list might be a little dated, esp the stores in the 400 range of broadway (not there)
