Fairy Fabric

How can I use this fabric for drapes?

My baby girl (she is 1) has her room painted soft cream. I have hand painted pink daisies as a border and hung a big canvas I painted with a deep lavendar colored background and I painted white and pink moonlight fairies on it. I bought some soft pink polka dot cloth and some lavendar cloth and some pink gingham frilled ribbon. How can I best make her drapes? Should I make the drapes simply polka dot with the lavendar and frilly ribbon as the tie backs – or should I try to make a pelmet? Or should I do something completely different? any creative ideas?

i would make the pelmet, see http://www.narottamandsons.com/pelmetstyle.htm
out of the polka dot clothe, trim it with the ribbon, make some simple panels with the lavendar, and tie them back with the same ribbon. or you could just drape the polka dot fabric over the curtain rod, and hang the lavendar panels below. i think, given the fairy theme, that some tiny white lights, draped over the fabric, would give it a magical look too. plus provide a nightlight effect if you were to leave them lit at night.
