does any one know where i can get free fabric samples?

for my textiles GCSE i need fabric or ribbon scraps

You can go to any fabric store or warehouse and ask the person at the check out counter if you can get a fabric swatch from something you picked out. The swatch will only be, maybe an inch by inch square nothing bigger. Just make sure you ask. Sometimes they will not cut the most expensive fabric or the really thick kind.
