A SHORT HISTORY OF INTEREST Beary

The first teddy bears were made more than 100 years ago. They were not stuffed toys, but of wood and a clock, sometimes tied to a string.
Teddy Bears as we know it originated in Germany and the U.S.
President Theodore Teddy Roosevelt refused to shoot a bear in an unsportsmanlike, as the road. This event was made famous in the press and were the result cartoons. A wife traders made a teddy bear and put it in his shop window next to the cartoon and called it 'Teddys' bear. This bear became very famous and the Ideal Novelty and Toy Company was founded.

A few years ago in Germany, Margaret Steiff cuts used his tailoring business to that animals like teddy bears. Felt Toy Company was founded in 1893 and began making mohair bears with movable joints. A store in New York ruled department thousands of these bears. It was the perfect time as it was at the time of the incident Roosevelt. The first bears were designed by Richard Steiff was Margarets nephew. Steiff Bears has a button placed in one ear, which still do today.

During the First World War (1914-1918) became German is limited, teddy bear making took off in England. Then in other countries. The time between the two world wars was when teddy bear making really took off. The movies, cartoons and books about teddy bears became very popular teddy bears and began to be mass produced. The panda became popular after China Zoo gave Chicago a panda in 1937.

After the second world war, everything was in short supply for teddy bears started to be made from man-made fabrics with softer filling. This made them much more affordable. Teddy Bear sales declined in the years 1960 and 1970, but recovered in the 1980s. Teddy bear collecting has become very popular, and there are some very old confirms that worth a fortune.

plastic joints are easier to use if you are a beginner
Wooden boards need to join any of the bolts and nuts or bolts.

HOW TO MAKE A BEAR

The battery on the skin needs to down the bear.
First of all, trace the pattern on paper or cut out the pattern if possible. Then glue the pattern pieces on a board (the board of cereal packet will do). Make sure that the transfer of the arrows and other markings on the pattern if you've set. Place the pieces of a mosaic on the wrong side fabric with the arrows pointing down the stack. Make sure you have enough fabric for all parts, recalling that batch will have four legs and arms.
If you are satisfied with the placement of the pattern, draw around the marker structure. Then remove the templates, ensuring the transfer marks on the joints and eyes etc in the back of the fabric.

pattern piece should be:
two bathrooms (one in reverse)
two bodies (One in reverse)
four weapons (two in reverse)
four legs (two on reverse)
four ears
two pads (cut Felt)
two foot pads (cut from felt)

Cut small pieces with scissors said. Use small scissors and try not to cut hair, only the lining fabric. This takes time!

After cutting, pin the pieces right side up. Tack, ensuring that no bit of skins out of our seams. Sew the leg pad on the short arm before turning the arms together. Back stitch is used to sew all the seams, do not forget to leave room in each part so that you can fill. Some manufacturers have the sewing machine, but be careful that the fabric does not slip. Adjust the seam strength, so not come loose.

After sewing the pieces of the head with stitches around the neck opening and pull hard, squeeze out safely. Then fill the area of the nose firmly. Stitch the nose and mouth with cotton embroidery.

Sew the components of the bars together and then take the foot pads in place before turning and sewing. Turn the feet the right way and press the punch through the point marked on the inside of the joint. Do the same with joints of the arm and then press the punch through co-branding within the body.

The target = "_blank" title = "My Teddy"> teddy bear can now be assembled. Fasten the joints together, aligning the holes in limbs and body.

Push the joints through from the inside of the body (making sure the washers are used) to each joint limb. The to be very strict and they are released after filling. Once the arms and legs are attached, turn around the opening of the neck and pull together and secure tightly. Using the holes in the head and body push the neck through to ensure head to the body. Teddy is attached. The next thing to do is the position of the eyes. I like to use your head to decide where colored pins to the eyes. safety eyes before entering the landfill. glass eyes are sewn on after filling.

Now is the time of stuffed things. With a wood filler stick, uses small pieces at a time. I like to fill first and then the head and body. Make sure you fill firmly. If you're happy with the filling can be closed with a stitch seams ladder.
After sewing the ears on the whole, are in the right way, point through the bottom seam. Place the head in the desired position and suction point, stitching aroung both sides of the ears.

Congratulations, you now have a beautiful teddy bear.
