Kids Fabric By The Yard

When you were a kid did you have a “teddy bear”? If you did do you still have it if not what happened to it?

I had a very common 6 inch reptar beanie ever sine I was 6 months old. I used to watch Rugrats A LOT. By the time I was almost 2 it was practically broken. The beanies came out so my dad replaced it with old fabric and cotton. The color of the stitches were blue because he said he didnt have green and I was killing his ears. I also lost both eyes and he replaced them with buttons that didnt match. Then when I just turned 2 my oldest sister who was 5 hid reptar in some bushes because I have no idea how I did it but I some how broke open her GIANT beanie panda open and found me playing with his insides. This is the part I barely remember. I went crazy looking for reptar and my dad told me he found me in the neighbors yard somehow at night. Then my dad and tried to replace it. He said that he messed it up,cut it open ect. But for some reason my dad said I didnt fall for it. My sister gave reptar back a day later. But in a few years she ended up losing it in a taxi.

When I was a baby my dad gave me a teddy bear that was also a puppet and he would use the teddy to tell me stories and then I would sleep with it at night. Unfortunately, I lost him in a house fire when I was a kid and I never really got attached to another stuffed animal.

My husband still has his teddy-Bernard-from when he was a baby. Bernard sits in our closet and guards my husband’s box of special stuff (his baby stuff, and stuff he got when he went to Europe).

Our son has two teddy bears who have lived in various incarnations, since they tend to only last about 6 months before being utterly “loved to death”. We bought a ton of the same kind of bear and we just rotate them out when they become unrecognizable. He doesn’t know the difference and he LOVES his teddys!
