do i REALLY have to wash garments before i FABRIC PAINT them?

im a playgroup leader and next weeks activity ive organised the kids to make fabric painted t shirts!, theyr already labelled and on hangers, but i know it says you have to pre wash fabric before you paint it,
im going to paint each kids name on them before they paint them, but i really cant b bothered to wash them first, as ive only got 2 days before we go to playgroup.

Did you know that they told on the news a few weeks ago that any garment that was from out of the USA which is most everything now, needed to be washed before we wore it.
I would have never believed this but I seen it with my own eyes. This lady got a Bra and didn’t wash it before she wore it, and they said that the box the bra’s came in had some kind of larvae that had embedded in the fabric and they showed a picture of her Breast and she had little holes in and around her nipples where the worms had started to crawl in. She said she took the bra off the first night before she took a bath and then put it back on the next day and she felt her Breast itching and then she went to the doctor and he found the eggs laid in tiny holes in her Breast.They said men could get them in their woohoo’s if they didn’t wash their draws first. I guess they could go in ours to. I know it sounds crazy but it was on the Nightly News.The lady has to have reconstructive surgery too! I’m a Crazy washing woman now. I wash everything first since seeing this.
