material fabric online
Question tissue thickness?

I'm looking online in the tissues and do not know what they mean different thicknesses. For example, a tissue around 5 oz / yd would be the equivalent thickness of the common material? If that makes sense, then I could only judge of all that material thickness as a reference. from 5 oz / d appears to be quite neutral in thickness. I hope this makes sense. Ok, thanks, but I've been in a fabric store and could not find something sufficiently thick. So I resorted to searching online, I also know abolutely nothing about sewing, so I did not realize that weight is not on the thickness, a very genuine thanks to the second answer.

The weight per meter does not give the thickness. For example, polyester fleece is very light in weight per meter, but is very thick, while some thick cotton or wool may be heavier than the fleece by the yard and still be very thin. Weight means simply the amount of yard area weighed. If you are looking for in the same material (such as cotton fabric) and then 14 oz tend to be thicker than 8 oz but you can not judge between the different materials and tissues. Usually the material is not classified by "thick."
