Prototek also highlighted in the December issue of the journal Fabricator
Contoocook, New Hampshire – December 7, 2009 – Prototek will be presented in the latest edition of the manufacturer, a journal of the presentation of all the innovations of high-tech industry production and rapid prototyping. Specifically, Prototek is accentuated by its purchase of the LC-C1 punch / laser combination machine Amada.
The rapid production of prototypes and becomes a bigger industry each year. Staying ahead of the competition is something that only experts may do so. These are the types of businesses The Fabricator is associated with, and why has Prototek been receiving much publicity. Prototek can stay ahead of competition by including the state of technologies in a very methodological, benefiting both the company and the customer. Prototek uses a scanning system, Prototek where each employee must examine the specific procedure he or she will be working on, so customers can check online of its parts, and watch its rapid prototyping or production of precision parts are moving through the store.
With the addition of LC-punch C1-machine combined laser Prototek is now capable of running less change of the sheet metal stamping and laser treatment cells, while increasing production output, shortening of maturities, and lower costs.
"Before acquiring the C1, which runs 3 shifts in our punching and laser cutting departments in 90 percent of capacity. Now, we're running 2 shifts operating at 80 percent capacity, and we have increased sales by 15 percent! "He commented Isabelle Keith, General Manager Prototek.
The LC-C1 has a revolutionary design, reducing the time when switching between the tower and laser cutting modules. Also included is a gap in the turret, allowing drilling holes from 50% smaller than traditional towers! This allows geometry small holes and common minted on a sheet of metal, while all the contours and complex geometry is cut by the laser. The combination machine does not stop there, however. Also has the capability of the holes, counter sink holes, and bend over! Prototek before there were 6 employees working in departments side doing these tasks, but with the application of LC-C1, four of these employees were able to switch to more specialized departments. Around him, the LC-C1 is the perfect prototype sheet metal and production Prototek cells.
About Sheet Metal Fabrication Prototek
Manufacture Prototek began in October 1987, specializes in rapid prototyping of precision metal plates for high-tech industries. Installation is a building of 40,000 new square feet. Prototek currently has 65 employees and has expanded in turn quickly machined parts, SLA and 3D printing. They are home to state welding art departments and bending, and coating and painting rooms, assembly department, and more. Prototek niche has always been a commitment solid on-time delivery of quality products. They are made of 3D solid model or CAD (computer aided design) files, and maintain a steady supply of necessary materials. These include stainless steel, cold rolled steel and aluminum sheet, tube, angle and channel, Lexan and other plastics, sheets of copper and a bar, springs steel, mirrored stainless steel, and a lot of hardware. Prototek is currently ISO 9001:2008 certified and DFAR and ITAR compliant.
