Thinking of getting a serger since it saves times in finishing seams but don’t know what kind to get.?

I’m definately not an expert, but I have been sewing since I was a child and have always wanted a serger because seams look so professional and it saves a few steps (not having to use pinking shears or zig zag and trim excess and use french seams). I’m also thinking it would be easier for stretch fabrics. I have been reading up on them and am finding they may be more difficult to use than I realized. Are there any that are more user friendly? I do my own alterations and don’t really want to spend a lot of money.

I’d look for used ones first. You’ll find that most are used very little and in very good condition at a good savings over a new one. Here are some.
